Quiet spot, nice location we went to a wedding there.
Great park, huge hill to get down to the river! Not suitable for wheelchair or non fit people small children to climb that huge mountain.
1hrs drive from Ipswich. Great location for family picnics or to go fishing. Great spot for wedding ceremony too.
I was passing through at about 7:30am and stopped because it looked so pretty with the mist over the water. Have been here a few times with a Kyak...great place to go for a paddle up or down river.
A pretty rest stop with accessible parking and toilets by the shore of the Wivenhoe River. The rest stop is mainly an open grassed area with limited undercover tables. There are NO garbage bins, it's expected that visitors will be considerate and take all their waste away for appropriate disposal. On the day I visited, there were strong winds and minimal shelter unless you had brought your own. Access is via a good, straight road with excellent traffic visibility in both directions.
